Acceptable Use Policy

 

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of all services provided by TakumiHost, including VPS hosting and related virtual server services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy at all times.

This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. Violations of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your service without refund.


1. Purpose

TakumiHost provides shared infrastructure to many customers. This policy exists to protect the integrity, performance, and security of our network and to ensure a fair and reliable experience for all users. We expect every customer to use our services responsibly and lawfully.


2. Permitted Use

You may use TakumiHost services for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Hosting websites, web applications, and APIs
  • Running development, staging, or production environments
  • Operating databases, backend services, and application servers
  • Hosting game servers (subject to network usage limits)
  • Running legitimate business applications and software
  • Personal projects and learning environments

3. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited on TakumiHost infrastructure. This list is not exhaustive, and TakumiHost reserves the right to determine what constitutes a violation at its sole discretion.

Network Abuse

  • Conducting or facilitating Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks or any form of network flooding
  • Port scanning, vulnerability scanning, or probing of systems you do not own or have explicit permission to test
  • Spoofing IP addresses or engaging in any form of network impersonation
  • Operating open proxies, open relays, or anonymization services used to facilitate abuse

Spam and Unsolicited Communications

  • Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operating spam-related infrastructure
  • Operating email harvesting tools or services
  • Hosting or distributing phishing pages, fraudulent forms, or deceptive content designed to steal credentials or personal information

Malicious Software and Security Threats

  • Hosting, distributing, or executing malware, ransomware, spyware, trojans, or any malicious code
  • Operating botnets or command-and-control (C2) servers
  • Conducting brute-force attacks against any system, including TakumiHost infrastructure
  • Exploiting vulnerabilities in third-party systems without authorization

Illegal Content and Activities

  • Hosting, storing, or distributing any content that is illegal under applicable local, national, or international law
  • Hosting or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors — this is an absolute prohibition and will result in immediate termination and reporting to relevant authorities
  • Facilitating copyright infringement, including operating torrent trackers or piracy sites
  • Engaging in fraud, identity theft, or any form of financial crime

Resource Abuse

  • Mining cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, or any other digital currency) without prior written approval from TakumiHost
  • Consuming excessive CPU, memory, bandwidth, or disk I/O in a manner that degrades service for other customers
  • Running automated scripts or bots that place unreasonable load on our infrastructure

Unauthorized Access

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to TakumiHost systems, other customers' servers, or any third-party system
  • Sharing your VPS access credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Using your VPS to facilitate unauthorized access to any other system or network

4. Content Responsibility

TakumiHost provides the virtual server infrastructure. We do not monitor the content hosted on customer VPS instances as a matter of routine. However, we reserve the right to investigate and take action if we receive credible reports of policy violations or illegal activity.

You are solely responsible for all content, applications, and data hosted on your VPS. TakumiHost is not liable for any content you host or any actions you take using our services.


5. Reporting Abuse

If you become aware of any activity on TakumiHost infrastructure that violates this policy, please report it to us promptly:

We take all abuse reports seriously and will investigate promptly.


6. Enforcement

TakumiHost reserves the right to take any of the following actions in response to a confirmed or suspected policy violation:

  • Issue a warning and request corrective action
  • Temporarily suspend your VPS service
  • Permanently terminate your service without refund
  • Report illegal activity to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities
  • Pursue legal remedies where appropriate

The severity of the response will generally reflect the severity of the violation. However, certain violations — such as hosting CSAM, conducting DDoS attacks, or operating malware infrastructure — will result in immediate termination without warning.


7. Changes to This Policy

TakumiHost may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Updates will be reflected by revising the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
