Cancellation and Service Termination Policy

Cancellation and Service Termination Policy

This policy explains how customers can cancel their VPS hosting service, what happens to their data and VPS environment after cancellation, and the circumstances under which TakumiHost may suspend or terminate a service.

This policy is fully consistent with our Refund and Cancellation Policy and Terms of Service. Please review those documents alongside this policy.

1. How to Request Cancellation

To cancel your VPS hosting service, please contact TakumiHost support directly:

Please include your order number or the email address associated with your account, along with a clear request to cancel your service. We will confirm receipt of your cancellation request and process it within a reasonable timeframe.

2. Cancellation Before Renewal

If your VPS plan is on a recurring billing cycle, you must submit your cancellation request before your next renewal date to avoid being charged for the upcoming period. TakumiHost is not responsible for charges that result from a failure to cancel before the renewal date.

We recommend submitting cancellation requests with sufficient advance notice to allow for processing.

3. What Happens to Your VPS and Data After Cancellation

Upon cancellation or termination of your VPS service, your virtual server and all associated data will be permanently deleted from our infrastructure. This includes all files, databases, configurations, and any other content stored on the VPS.

TakumiHost does not retain or archive customer data after service termination. Data deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

You are solely responsible for exporting and backing up all data before requesting cancellation. TakumiHost accepts no liability for data loss resulting from service cancellation or termination.

4. Customer Responsibility for Backups

Before cancelling your service, you must ensure that all important data has been backed up to a location outside of your TakumiHost VPS. TakumiHost does not provide automatic backups unless this feature is explicitly included in your plan.

We strongly recommend completing your data backup before submitting a cancellation request, as access to your VPS may be removed promptly after cancellation is processed.

5. Refunds Upon Cancellation

Cancellation of a service does not automatically entitle you to a refund for any portion of the current billing period. Refund eligibility is determined by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

In general, because VPS hosting is a digital service that is provisioned upon payment, fees for the current service period are non-refundable once the service has been activated, except in the specific circumstances described in our Refund Policy.

6. Suspension or Termination for Policy Violations

TakumiHost reserves the right to suspend or immediately terminate your VPS service without prior notice if you violate our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy. Grounds for immediate suspension or termination include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting or facilitating DDoS attacks or network abuse
  • Hosting illegal content, including child sexual abuse material
  • Operating malware, phishing, or spam infrastructure
  • Engaging in fraudulent activity or unauthorized access to third-party systems
  • Any activity that poses a risk to TakumiHost infrastructure or other customers

In cases of serious violations, termination will be immediate and no refund will be issued.

7. Effect of Non-Payment

If a payment fails or is not received by the due date, TakumiHost reserves the right to suspend your VPS service until payment is received. Prolonged non-payment may result in permanent termination of the service and deletion of all associated data.

TakumiHost is not responsible for data loss resulting from service suspension or termination due to non-payment.

8. Termination Initiated by TakumiHost

In circumstances where TakumiHost initiates termination for reasons other than policy violations or non-payment, we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice to the affected customer. In such cases, any prepaid fees for the unused portion of the service period may be considered for a prorated refund at TakumiHost's discretion, consistent with our Refund Policy.

9. Outstanding Balances

Cancellation of your service does not waive any outstanding payment obligations. If you owe any fees to TakumiHost at the time of cancellation, those amounts remain due and payable. TakumiHost reserves the right to pursue recovery of outstanding balances through available legal or financial channels.

10. Changes to This Policy

TakumiHost may update this policy at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revised policy.
